Taylor Swift started her tour in Europe in France. She changed the songs she sings and how she performs them. Some old favorite songs like “The Archer” and “The 1” were not sung this time. Instead, she sang new songs like “Fortnight” and “Down Bad” from her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
She also wore new clothes, like a shiny red bodysuit and a black dress with silver strings. The Europe part of her tour began in Paris on May 9, and she had four shows there. During the three-hour show, fans noticed these changes, like the new songs and outfits.
Taylor Swift Wows Paris with Spectacular Performance
Taylor Swift took to the stage at La Défense Arena in Paris around 8 pm local time. She started with “Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince” and greeted the packed crowd with a charming “enchanté.” She said she felt lucky to start her European tour in such a beautiful city. The 34-year-old singer stayed on stage for over three hours, ending just after 11 pm. She performed 45 songs from her 18-year career. Her tour is themed around the different eras of her music, with each set dedicated to one of her 11 studio albums.
The tour began in America last year, with fans making a big impact on local economies and causing excitement with their dancing. This Paris concert was Swift’s first since releasing her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” a 31-track double album, three weeks ago. Despite mixed reviews, the album broke sales records in its first week. To fit in new songs, she combined the sister albums “Folklore” and “Evermore” into a single “Folkmore” chapter.
Exciting Changes During Taylor Swift’s Concert
During her concert in Paris, Taylor Swift surprised fans by adding seven songs from her latest album to her setlist. These included shorter versions of songs like “But Daddy I Love Him,” “Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me?”, “Fortnight,” and others, along with parts of “So High School” and “Down Bad.”
To fit in the new songs, Swift had to cut some tracks from her long set. Sadly, songs like “The Archer,” “The Last Great American Dynasty,” and others were left out. Swift also mixed things up by changing the order of her eras. She moved the Red era earlier and the reputation era later in the setlist. She also combined the Folklore and evermore eras, calling them the sister albums.
During the Speak Now era, there was a new transition with flowers on the screen and a new dance routine by her dancers before she sang “Enchanted,” replacing “Long Live” from last year’s tour.

Taylor Swift’s Epic Tour Sets Records
Taylor Swift’s tour has become a huge deal, like Madonna and Michael Jackson’s concerts in the 1980s. She’s playing 152 stadium shows, and they’re all booked until December 2024. When it’s all done, ticket sales are expected to hit $1.4 billion (£1.1 billion) – making it the most successful tour ever. This beats Elton John’s tour, which made $939 million (£750 million). The tour hits the UK on June 7, with stops in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff, and London.
