Earlier this month, Diljit Dosanjh performed in Mumbai to a huge crowd, promising an unforgettable Vancouver Tour. True to his word, the show at BC Place Stadium made history as the largest Punjabi event outside India. Diljit shared his excitement on Instagram with photos and videos.

In one video, Diljit humbly thanks God, expressing gratitude for the love from his fans.

 He acknowledges Guru Nanak’s blessings, saying it’s what brought people to the stadium. Diljit’s performance in Vancouver, attended by over 54,000 fans, marked the start of his Dil-Luminati Tour. Reports confirm Diljit as the first Punjabi artist to headline a concert at the arena, adding another milestone to his career.

The crowd cheered loudly as Diljit, dressed in all black, sang hits from his album GOAT, receiving love from fans and celebrities. Bollywood stars like Neha Dhupia and Rhea Kapoor praised him on social media. Fans called him “God sent in human form” and “Punjab’s Michael Jackson.” Diljit also sang “Main Hoon Punjabi” from his latest film, captivating the audience.

The Dil-Luminati tour was a huge success, with the Vancouver concert selling out. Tickets for the front row ranged from $482.79 to $713.89. Diljit was honoured by the event’s general manager for being the first Indian pop singer to sell out BC Place stadium. He thanked everyone humbly. Six-year-old Aanakh Bhullar joined Diljit on stage during the show, dancing alongside his idol. Dressed like Diljit, he said it made him happy to perform with him and called him the best singer.

Diljit’s concert attire included a black kurta and tamba, a traditional Punjabi outfit, paired with a matching turban and gloves. He performed hits like ‘Main Hoon Panjab’, ‘GOAT’, ‘Kinni Kinni’, ‘Lover’, and ‘Ishq Mitaye’ during the show. Last year, Diljit made history as the first Punjabi artist to perform at the Coachella Valley Music & Art Festival in the USA.

Recently, he starred in Imtiaz Ali’s musical biopic “Amar Singh Chamkila,” alongside Parineeti Chopra. The movie, available on Netflix, portrays the life of the late Punjabi singer, known as the Elvis of Punjab.
