Announced back in March last year, Superman (now known as Superman: Legacy) kicks off James Gunn’s DC Universe (DCU), a fresh superhero series following the DCEU’s decline. Gunn’s take on Superman dives deep into the hero’s quest to reconcile his noble Kryptonian roots with his humble upbringing as Clark Kent in the heartland of America. When the first still from the movie dropped, fans flooded the comment section with mixed reactions. While many were thrilled and impressed by the sneak peek, some weren’t entirely sold. Stellar Cast Announced for Superman

Additionally, Nathan Fillion will portray Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho. Other cast members include Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, and Terence Rosemore.
David Corenswet’s Big Break in Superman
Superman will be a huge opportunity for lead actor Corenswet, known for his roles in Netflix series like Hollywood and The Politician, as well as the Ti West film, Pearl, alongside Mia Goth.
The movie hits theaters on July 11, 2025, making it the first solo Superman film in over ten years since Man of Steel.
