Johnny Wactor, known for his role as Brando Corbin on the long-running TV show General Hospital, has died at the age of 37. He was shot early Saturday morning in Los Angeles during a suspected robbery.

According to his mother, Scarlett Wactor, he did not resist when confronted by the suspects, but they still shot him. The suspects ran away and have not been caught yet. The police have not shared details about them. The LAPD reported that a man was fatally shot around 3:00 am on Saturday near Pico Boulevard and Hope Street.

The incident happened around 3:00 am on Saturday near Pico Boulevard and Hope Street. Wactor had just left work at a rooftop bar with a coworker. There, he saw three men trying to steal the catalytic converter from his car and thought his car was being towed. When he confronted them, one suspect, wearing a mask, shot him.

The suspects fled in a vehicle and have not been caught. The police have not shared details about them. Wactor was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 3:00 am. Wactor’s mother, Scarlett, confirmed the news to TMZ. She said, “He was just trying to protect his property. He was a kind and brave soul.” The police are still investigating the incident.

Wactor’s agent, David Shaul, also confirmed his death in a statement to Variety. Shaul said,

“Johnny Wactor was a spectacular human being. He was not just a talented actor who was committed to his craft but a real moral example to everyone who knew him. He stood for hard work, tenacity, and a never-give-up attitude. He would literally give you the shirt off his back. After over a decade together, he will leave a hole in our hearts forever.”

He began his acting journey in 2007 with Army Wives and later found success with roles in shows like Westworld, The OA, NCIS, Station 19, Hollywood Girl, and the video game Call of Duty: Vanguard. From 2020 to 2022, he starred in over 160 episodes of General Hospital. However, his big break came with General Hospital.
