At the 77th Cannes Film Festival, the movie Furiosa received a 7-minute standing ovation. The cast includes Chris Hemsworth and Anya Taylor-Joy. The film is directed by George Miller, who is known for the Mad Max series. It is a prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road.
The audience at the premiere cheered loudly and warmly welcomed the cast and director. Chris Hemsworth and Anya Taylor-Joy even took selfies with fans. During the applause, Taylor-Joy blew kisses and took a bow, while Hemsworth seemed moved by the incredible reception.

At the Cannes Film Festival, “Furiosa” was met with a lot of excitement and love. Stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth greeted fans outside the theater, taking selfies with them. Taylor-Joy dazzled in a champagne-colored Dior ball gown with Tiffany & Co. jewelry, while Hemsworth went for a black trousers and white jacket combo, which was a bit of a departure from the usual Cannes dress code. After the premiere, the trio was spotted smiling and hugging each other. Baz Luhrmann, the director of “Elvis,” was also there and gave director George Miller a warm hug.
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga Synopsis and Release Date
The film tells the story of a young woman named Furiosa who is taken from her home, the Green Place of Many Mothers, and finds herself in the hands of a powerful biker gang led by the Warlord Dementus. As they journey through the Wasteland, they encounter the Citadel ruled by The Immortan Joe. Amidst the conflict between these two tyrants, Furiosa must navigate challenges to find her way back home.
“Mad Max: Fury Road,” released in 2015, was highly praised and won six Oscars, including Best Film Editing, Best Production Design, and Best Costume Design. “Furiosa,” set to release in Indian theaters on May 23rd, has received a 90% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes.
