About Deadpool & Wolverine

Deadpool & Wolverine surprised everyone by breaking MCU records for swearing. It’s packed with six ‘F-words’ and lots of colorful language, showing Deadpool’s usual R-rated humor, which differs from the usual family-friendly MCU movies.

Shawn Levy directs the movie. It has a team of writers, including Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, Reynolds, and Levy. Even though we only get a glimpse of what’s going on, the plot is still mainly a secret. Deadpool & Wolverine will be in theaters on July 26, 2024.

Deadpool & Wolverine Timeline Clues

New footage from Deadpool & Wolverine suggests the movie happens before Loki. Mr. Paradox mentions the TVA’s job of protecting the Sacred Timeline, which wasn’t a thing after Loki season 2. This means the movie could be set when the TVA had the most control over the multiverse.

Paradox would know about big events across the multiverse, including what happened to Wolverine’s world. In the trailer, Deadpool hints at revealing Wolverine’s dark past with a third-act flashback. A quick scene shows Wolverine in regular clothes, looking troubled. The TVA could help explore Wolverine’s world in the movie.

Two Wolverines in Deadpool & Wolverine Trailer?

Fans have theories about two versions of Wolverine in the new Deadpool & Wolverine trailer. One is the Wolverine, whom Deadpool tries to recruit at the bar, and the other is found in the Void. Deadpool might fight a Wolverine variant in the Void and then realize his potential as an ally, recruiting the first Wolverine. However, they may be the same person. Logan isn’t welcome in the bar, hinting at something bad in his world. Paradox’s comment about Wolverine could refer to the one in the X-Men costume. So, both versions of Wolverine might actually be the same.
