Taylor Swift just released her 11th album called “The Tortured Poets Department” after surprising everyone at the 2024 Grammys. It’s different from her other albums and has a moodier feel, kind of like old-timey poets. On April 13, listeners on Apple Music spotted randomly capitalized letters in her song “Glitch,” spelling out “HEREBY.”

These cryptic messages left fans intrigued and eager for more. Taylor’s PR team confirmed it was a clue, getting fans even more excited.

The Tortured Poets Department Album Out Now

Taylor Swift’s latest album, “Tortured Poets Department,” is here, and fans are buzzing about Track 2, also titled “The Tortured Poets Department.” In this song, Taylor delves deeper into the themes introduced in “Fortnight,” using vivid imagery and striking visuals. She sings and moves around an old typewriter, symbolizing the album’s creative essence.

The chorus reflects on the narrator’s struggles in the music industry, comparing themselves to legendary poets like Dylan Thomas and Patti Smith. There are also subtle nods to Charlie Puth, adding layers to the song’s meaning.

Amidst the excitement for the album, fans are also curious about Taylor’s partner, Joe Alwyn. Taylor’s lyrics capture the frustration of waiting for love, as seen in lines like, “I swore you loved me, but where are the clues, I’m dying at the alter waiting for proof.” With tracks like “The Tortured Poets Department,” Taylor Swift continues to captivate audiences with her introspective lyrics and captivating melodies.

Fortnight by Taylor Swift Featuring Post Malone

Taylor Swift’s latest album, “Fortnight,” is out now, and it includes collaborations with Post Malone and Florence + The Machine. You can listen to it on Apple Music. The song “Fortnight,” co-written by Swift and Jack Antonoff, has a relaxed vibe with a synth background and a steady pace. Swift’s voice sounds almost otherworldly during the chorus, which repeats gently and is enhanced by a soft echo.

Tracks on “The Tortured Poets Department”

Taylor Swift’s album “The Tortured Poets Department” has a total of 16 tracks, including four bonus songs. Each edition of the album is named after one of these bonus tracks: “The Manuscript,” “The Bolter,” “The Albatross,” and “The Black Dog.”

As part of the album’s promotions, Swift has created five playlists featuring songs from her albums like Lover, folklore, evermore, and others. These playlists, released exclusively on Apple Music, explore the different stages of heartbreak: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. Each day, one word of a message is revealed, with the full message being unveiled on April 18, a day before the album’s release. These playlists can be accessed by Apple Music subscribers.

During her Eras tour, Taylor Swift opened up about her experience working on her new album while she was in Melbourne. She shared with fans that the things she was going through and writing about reminded her why songwriting is so important to her. She mentioned that she had never needed songwriting more than she did while working on “Tortured Poets.”
