After some delays and a change in release date, it’s finally hitting theatres this Eid. The new trailer has got fans buzzing with excitement. Ajay posted it on his Instagram. In the movie, Ajay portrays Syed Abdul Rahim, the unsung hero who took Indian football to great heights. Directed by Amit R Sharma, “Maidaan” promises to be a compelling story about Rahim’s journey as a football coach.

After Ajay Devgn’s recent hit film, Shaitaan, he is back with a new avatar in Maidaan. The final trailer, which follows up on the first one released a couple of weeks ago, sets the stage for an inspiring story.
The trailer opens with Priyamani’s character motivating her husband, played by Ajay, to believe in India’s football prowess in the 1950s. Despite bureaucratic hurdles represented by Gajraj Rao’s character, Ajay’s Syed Abdul Rahim builds a team of underdogs, overcoming challenges both on and off the field. From picking young talent to facing opposition from the crowd and protesters demanding them to “go back,” the trailer promises an engaging tale of perseverance and determination.

“Maidaan” features Bengali actor Rudrani Ghosh and boasts a strong production team, including Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta, and Akash Chawla. Saiwyn Quadras and Ritesh Shah penned the screenplay and dialogues, respectively. AR Rahman composed the music for the film, with lyrics by Manoj Muntashir Shukla.
Directed by Amit Ravindranath Sharma, known for Badhaai Ho, the film will hit theatres on April 10 and compete with Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Produced by Boney Kapoor, it stars Ajay Devgn and Priyamani in lead roles and is supported by Gajraj Rao and Rudranil Ghosh.
