The movie Salaar is becoming a hit among fans. Salaar opening day collection reached Rs 48.94 crore, received as advance booking. Earlier, it was thought that Dunki’s huge success may negatively impact Salaar, but the Prabhas starrer Salaar has surpassed it in earnings.
Salaar Opening Day Collection More Than Dunki
Salaar has received a great response that is reflected in the booking in the box office reports on 22nd December. The movie got a revenue of 48.94 crore rupees through the bookings that the audience made. This is the earnings on the first day of its release. It is expected that the profit of Salaar on the final opening collection will be more than the earnings of Dunki. Dunki was released in the theatres just one day ago on 21 December.
There have been reports that Dunki in which Shah Rukh Khan plays a lead role, has not performed too well at the box office. Its collections are about 30 crore rupees on the first day of its release. Fans in Gujarat gave a lukewarm response to the film. However, it got a good response from Hyderabad. In comparison to Dunki, Salaar is doing better. It got a higher collection on its release on Friday. This proves that Salaar is a real winner in the game of box office success.
Salaar‘s Cast and Story
There is action and violence in the movie. Prashanth Neel is the director. The star cast includes top actors like Prabhas, Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Jagapathi. Ravi Basrur has provided the music of Salaar. It is an original Kannada movie that is being released in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, etc. The movie is being released in cinemas and theatres all over the world.
The set up of the story is based on an imaginary city, Khansaar. There is a lot of crime in the city. The character of Varadha Raja Mannar is played by Prithviraj. He wants to become the chief of Khansaar and seeks help from Prabhas. Prabhas plays the character of his friend, Salaar.
