Sources familiar with the development reveal that Ankur Jain, the former chief product officer at BharatPe, is poised to introduce his latest venture in AI healthcare. The startup, Jivi.ai, is anticipated to launch publicly later this month.

According to insiders, Jivi.ai’s founding team comprises seasoned professionals and accomplished research scholars from prestigious institutions such as Stanford, MIT, Harvard, and Yale. Having dedicated over three years to BharatPe, where he spearheaded the entire product life cycle and fostered innovation, Jain bid farewell to the company in July of the previous year. Entrackr provided an exclusive report on this significant development.

Ankur Jain Ventures into AI Healthcare with Jivi.ai

Ankur Jain, also known for co-founding travel tech startup Instalocate, is embarking on his second entrepreneurial journey with Jivi.ai. Leveraging artificial intelligence, digital health, and cutting-edge technologies like large language models and machine learning, Jivi.ai aims to revolutionize primary healthcare, according to sources.

The initial version of Jivi.ai is slated to launch in India and the US, with over 100 doctors, physicians, and hospitals already onboarded in India over the past three months. Sources revealed that the startup has secured initial seed funding and is currently in discussions to close the next funding round. Despite inquiries made to Jain, no response has been received yet.

Former BharatPe Executives Launching New Ventures

In a trend reminiscent of industry giants like Flipkart, Paytm, and PayPal, a new phenomenon is taking shape – the BharatPe mafia. Genwise, co-founded by former BharatPe executives Rajat Jain, Geetanshu Singla, and Nehul Malhotra, successfully raised funds in April of the previous year, as exclusively reported by Entrackr.

Adding to this landscape is the Third Unicorn, led by former BharatPe co-founder and MD Ashneer Grover and his wife Madhuri Jain, which introduced CrickPe, a fantasy sports platform. The team is also on the brink of unveiling ZeroPe, another fintech startup.

Bhavik Koladiya, a co-founder at Third Unicorn, has assumed the role of CEO at OTPless, a SaaS startup. Meanwhile, Suhail Sameer, former CEO of BharatPe, now serves as the managing partner at venture capital firm OTP Venture.

Ankur Jain Leaves BharatPe to Launch AI and ML Startup

According to sources, Ankur Jain, who served at BharatPe for 3.5 years, is stepping down to launch his startup in AI and ML. While Jain is currently in his notice period, the formal announcement of his departure is expected later this month.

Confirming Jain’s departure, a BharatPe spokesperson stated that he played a vital role in the company’s journey, leading a talented team to develop innovative fintech products for merchants and consumers. The company is now seeking a seasoned product leader to fill his role.

Jain, who also co-founded travel tech startup Instalocate after leaving Walmart, joins a list of high-profile exits from BharatPe in recent years. Last month, the company’s chief business officer, Nishant Jain, left to join Angel One, while senior executive Dhruv Dhanraj Bahl also departed to pursue his entrepreneurial aspirations.
