TV Actor Rituraj Singh Passes Away from Cardiac Arrest

Rituraj Singh, a well-known figure in the television industry, passed away due to a cardiac arrest on Monday night. The 59-year-old had been contending with pancreatic illness. Rituraj Singh gained immense affection for his portrayal of characters such as Yashpal in the television series “Anupamaa.”

In a post on X, actor Arshad Warsi expressed his sorrow, saying,

According to his friend, Rituraj Singh had been facing challenges with pancreatic illness. Pancreatic diseases cover a range of conditions impacting the pancreas, a crucial organ situated behind the stomach. Among these, pancreatic cancer is notably one of the most lethal cancers worldwide, frequently detected in late stages due to vague symptoms.

Rituraj Singh Passes Away Due to Cardiac Arrest

According to the report, Rituraj passed away on Monday night. He had recently been hospitalized due to a pancreatic disease. Times Now News quoted Amit, who stated,

“Yes, he passed away due to cardiac arrest. He was admitted to a hospital some time back for treatment of pancreas, returned home, had some cardiac complications, and passed away.”

In this statement, Amit confirmed that Rituraj’s demise was a result of cardiac arrest. Rituraj had undergone treatment for his pancreatic condition at the hospital, but unfortunately, he experienced cardiac complications after returning home, leading to his passing.

Many celebrities, such as Manoj Bajpayee, Hansal Mehta, Sonu Sood, and Kavita Kaushik, expressed their grief over Rituraj Singh’s death on social media.

Manoj Bajpayee, a close friend and colleague of Rituraj’s, expressed shock and disbelief, stating, “How can this be true, Ritz? Why? Such devastating news to wake up to! Rest in peace Rituraj my friend! Om Shanti.”

Hansal Mehta, who collaborated with Rituraj on the show ‘K Street Pali Hill,’ couldn’t come to terms with the actor’s sudden demise. He wrote,

Sonu Sood also mourned the loss of Rituraj Singh on X, expressing his condolences.

Venturing into the realm of cinema, Rituraj appeared in films such as “Badrinath Ki Dulhania” (2017), “Vash – Possessed by the Obsessed,” and “Thunivu” (2023). His final cinematic endeavour was “Yaariyan 2,” released last year. In addition to his television and film roles, Rituraj ventured into the world of web series, featuring in notable productions like “The Test Case,” “Hey Prabhu,” “Criminal,” “Abhay,” “Bandish Bandits,” “Never Kiss Your Best Friend,” and “Made in Heaven” season 2.
