The Sunday evening of 7th January saw a star-studded gathering of top celebrities and personalities from the cinema world at the Golden Globe Awards 2024 ceremony.
The Golden Globe Awards is an annual event and it is organised to give awards in the field of cinema and television. This year, the 81st edition of the prestigious award ceremony was organised in the Beverly Hilton Hotel which is in Los Angeles. Comedian Jo Koy was the host. It was the first red carpet celebration of 2024.

The event of the Golden Globe Awards 2024 was important because the red carpet event was postponed last year. The movie stars and writers were on strike and the function could not be held. The strike had continued for four months during the last six months last year. So, it was rather quiet at the Golden Globe.

Barbie won the maximum number of nominations for this year’s ceremony. Its star, Margot Robbie stole the limelight as she appeared in a pink dress. The dress was custom-made. It was embellished with sequins and Robbie wore a tulle stole with it. Armani had designed the dress. The dress was like the dress that the famous Barbie doll wore when it was first launched in 1977.
Oprah Winfrey wore a purple-coloured gown that was designed by Louis Vuitton. Taylor Swift wore a green gown with colourful sequins.
Heidi Klum wore a dress that was designed by Sophie Couture. The dress was voluminous and had a slit on the legs. Florence Pugh was dressed in a scarlet gown designed by Valentino. There were roses all over the gown.
Rachel Brosnahan attended the award ceremony in a dress designed by Sergio Hudson. Julianne Moore was wearing a Bottega Veneta dress. Selena Gomez was seen in an Armani dress. She wore a red-coloured asymmetrical dress made of silk.
Julianne Moore came to the award ceremony dressed in a red Bottega dress. The dress had a structured look and there were deep pockets in it. Ayo Edebiri was wearing a red strapless dress designed by Prada. Ayo had starred in The Bear and she won the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical or Comedy Series. Rosamund Pike stood out with her style. She wore a lacy black dress with a veil.
Dressed in a black velvet gown with gilded bones embroidered on it, Dua Lipa was among the best-dressed stars at the ceremony.
Billie Eilish ditched the gowns and dresses for an oversized workwear ensemble.

Timothée Chalamet wore a sequin jacket designed by Celine Homme. Jeremy Allen White came to the ceremony in a black suit and a sheer shirt.
