Two guys on a motorbike shot four times outside Salman Khan’s home in Mumbai’s Bandra around 5 am on Sunday, then ran away. Security cameras caught them wearing caps and carrying backpacks, firing toward the actor’s place. One wore a white T-shirt and black jacket with jeans, the other a red T-shirt with jeans. After the incident, someone named Bishnoi claimed online that they did it as a warning. Bishnoi called it a “trailer” to show their strength and said it was the first and final warning.
The police say both guys are in the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Bishnoi is already in Tihar Jail for being part of some serious murder cases involving musician Sidhu Moose Wala and Rajput leader Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, who was also the chief of Karni Sena.
Who is Responsible for Firing Outside Salman Khan’s House
In the United States, Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, relied on Rohit Godara, another gang member based in the US, to pick shooters for a job, possibly due to Godara’s connections with professional shooters in India. Anmol Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the shooting on Facebook, but the IP address was traced back to Canada, suggesting potential VPN use. Godara, with his involvement in past high-profile cases, holds a significant position in the Bishnoi gang. Police suspect he facilitated the provision of weapons to the shooters through his associates in India, as the gang strategically stores weapons across multiple states.
Vishal, known as Kalu, was chosen for the job because of his past violent involvement linked to Godara, who confessed to the murder of Gurugram businessman Sachin Munjal on social media. Vishal and another suspect bought a used bike from Raigad district to reach Mr. Khan’s place in Mumbai from Panvel. Police are investigating the bike’s sale. The police car usually stationed outside Mr. Khan’s house wasn’t there on Sunday morning. Police from Maharashtra, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Punjab are collaborating to catch those involved.

Two men shot four times outside Bandra’s Galaxy Apartments, where Mr. Khan lives, at 5 am and fled. An FIR has been filed against “unknown people” for attempted murder and breaking gun laws. One suspect is believed to be a criminal from Gurugram involved in multiple murders and robberies in Haryana and wanted for Sachin Munjal’s murder in March, according to a Delhi Police source cited by PTI.
Family and Friends Visit Salman Khan After the Firing Incident
Arbaaz Khan and Shura Khan, who were out of town, hurried to meet Salman Khan after the shooting outside his home on April 14.
Former Maharashtra Minister Baba Siddique also paid a visit to the actor.
Salman’s sister Arpita, Sohail, and brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma, were also spotted at Galaxy Apartments. Additionally, Salman’s nephew Arhaan, son of Arbaaz Khan and Nikhil Dwivedi, also stopped by to check on him.
Salman Khan’s Security Situation and Previous Threats
Last year, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) revealed that Salman Khan was among the top 10 targets marked for elimination by imprisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. This was reportedly due to Khan’s involvement in the 1998 black buck hunting incident, which offended the Bishnoi community, according to the gangster’s claims.
In response to ongoing threats, Mumbai Police upgraded Khan’s security to Y+ status, which is currently under review. Khan is now accompanied by eleven security personnel at all times, including commandos and Personal Security Officers (PSOs), while his vehicles are fully bulletproof and always have one in front and one behind. Additionally, an Indian student in the UK is under investigation for allegedly sending a threatening email to Khan, leading to the issuance of a lookout circular (LOC) against them.
