Prime Video announced that Sara Ali Khan’s upcoming period drama film, ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan,’ is scheduled to premiere on March 21. The film, set in the pre-Independence era, will stream on the service. Sara portrays the character of Usha, a freedom fighter inspired by real-life figure Usha Mehta, who urges listeners on clandestine radio to revolt against the British in the teaser.
Directed by Kannan Iyer, the film will be dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra’s Dharmatic Entertainment, Sara Ali Khan will also star in the murder mystery film ‘Murder Mubarak,’ set for release on Netflix just a week earlier, on March 15.

The film, co-written by Kannan and Darab Farooqui, promises to unfold a captivating narrative set against the backdrop of India’s struggle for independence. ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ Cast
Actor Emraan Hashmi will make a pivotal cameo appearance in ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan.’ Sara’s mother, Amrita Singh, was recently spotted on the film’s sets. The movie also features Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O’Nell, and Anand Tiwari in significant roles.
