Netflix has released the official full trailer for its live-action adaptation of Nickelodeon’s animated series, “Avatar: The Last Airbender.” The series, starring Gordon Cormier as Aang, follows the journey of the Avatar who must master the four elements—water, earth, fire, and air—to restore balance to a world threatened by the Fire Nation. Netflix has released the first trailer for “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” just under a month before the show’s February 22 premiere. The trailer captioned “YIP YIP! The Avatar: The Last Airbender trailer is HERE!” offers an extended glimpse into the eight-episode series. As the Fire Nation advances, an Avatar must emerge to save the people.
Teenage siblings Katara (Kiawentiio) and Sokka (Ian Ousley) from the water tribe join forces with Aang (Gordon Cormier), the last airbender, on this crucial quest. Dallas Liu portrays the vengeful Prince Zuko of the Fire Nation, who confronts Aang. Throughout the trailer, Aang visibly assumes the responsibility to lead and protect everyone.

Following the animated series and M. Night Shyamalan’s 2010 film, the epic story of “Avatar: The Last Airbender” sees a new adaptation for audiences on Netflix. Showrunner Albert Kim leads the series, with co-directors and executive producers Michael Goi and Jabbar Raisani joining forces. After the global success of the live-action adaptation of One Piece last year, expectations are high for this upcoming series scheduled for release on February 22.
