Drogo Drones, a top drone tech company, is helping rural communities with the Namo Drone Didi program. Recently, they gave advanced drones to women in the program, supported by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The PM believes this scheme will empower women by teaching them new skills. He even distributed 1,000 drones to women from across India. The goal of Namo Drone Didi is to train rural women as drone pilots, boosting their independence and improving farming methods.
Prime Minister Modi praised the Lakhpati Didis, who had achieved success with the help of the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission. These Didis are also encouraging and supporting members of other Self Help Groups (SHGs). Moreover, PM Modi gave out approximately ₹8,000 crore in bank loans to Self Help Groups (SHGs) at lower interest rates. This was done through Bank Linkage Camps organized by banks in every district. He also provided about ₹2,000 crore in Capitalization Support Funds to SHGs.
