External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid a strong foundation over the past decade, which will now serve as a platform for India to progress further. Jaishankar highlighted that when Modi took office in 2014, India ranked 11th in the global economy. It has since climbed to the fifth position.
Speaking at the inauguration of a school in Chikkodi, Karnataka, Jaishankar emphasized Modi’s assurance that India will soon become the third largest and ultimately the leading economy worldwide.
