The opening ceremony, which took place at Delhi’s The Ashoka Hotel on Tuesday evening, introduced 115 young women from all continents in their national costumes. Sini Shetty radiated red-hot beauty, embracing India’s rich heritage with pride on the Miss World stage, draped in the elegance of a saree. Her introduction resonated, “This is me, INDIA.”

The red Banarasi silk saree, elegantly contrasted with a purple embroidered blouse, exuded oomph. The six yards of elegance credited to designer Jayanti Reddy’s eponymous luxury label, renowned for its classy and chic couture collections, exemplifies traditional clothing with a unique sense of style and minimalist design. The saree portrays old-world charm and understated elegance, strongly emphasizing naturally dyed indigenous fabric.
Jayanti Reddy’s handwoven textiles, embellished with intricate hand embroidery, add to the allure. The red silk saree costs ₹225,900 on the designer’s website. Leaving her wavy tresses open in mid-parted soft curls, Sini accessorized her look with a pair of precious stone-studded earrings, maangtika, a gold ring, and a set of bangles from Curio Cottage. Wearing a dab of pink lip gloss, Sini amplified the glam look with rosy blushed cheeks, winged black eyeliner, and well-defined mascara as she struck cheeky poses for the camera. The 71st Miss World Event Begins in India
The 71st Miss World event kickstarted in Delhi with the arrival of 120 contestants. These contestants will now embark on a journey from Delhi to Mumbai. Representing India, Femina Miss India World 2022 Sini Shetty will grace the competition this year. The 71st Miss World grand finale is slated for March 9 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, where all 120 contestants will compete.
The Miss World Organization announced that the 71st edition of the competition would be held in India instead of the UAE. This marks the first time since 1996 that the country will host the mega event.
